A gaunt corpse eight feet tall, charcoal-grey and desiccated, its narrow skull eyeless and its chest opened into a hollow cage of asymmetrical ribs. What it wants is what fills that cavity. It is patient about getting it, and neither poison, terror nor persuasion has any purchase on it.
