The conversions
The library's founding block is a GURPS fan conversion by Enraged Eggplant, from their collection Monsters (11 May 2024), used with their unrestricted permission. The permission statement is published below.

Dungeons on Automatic added the review pass, the encounter maths, the art, and the GCS export. Every record carries its own credit line and conversion notes inside the data — open any monster on the bestiary page and expand Where this one came from to read them.
The authored records
The rest of the library is by Monsters on Automatic — this project writing its own monsters. These records cover creature identities from the D&D System Reference Documents with independently authored GURPS-compatible statistics, ratings, and prose: the SRD supplies only the identity a record answers to, and no SRD text and no third-party conversion is reproduced.
Each of these records begins as an AI-generated first draft and is reviewed before release — the same two mechanical gates the conversions pass, plus a check of its encounter numbers against the creature's role. They are released under CC BY 4.0 with originator credit, and each one names the SRD headings it answers inside its own provenance.
Licensing

The published library is released under CC BY 4.0. You may use these monsters at your table, in your own tools, and in things you publish, as long as you keep the attribution. Each record's credit line is its attribution; copy it as-is.

The art
Every portrait, token, and hex token in the bestiary is original art generated for this project with OpenAI image generation, in a single house style so the library looks like one book rather than a scrapbook. Hex tokens are derived from the top-down tokens and cut to each creature's stated footprint.
No publisher art, logo, or trade dress is hosted here or generated to imitate one. The images are yours to download and use with the monsters they belong to.
What is deliberately not here
Dungeons on Automatic is an unofficial game aid. Steve Jackson Games book text, published monster stat blocks, art, logos, and trade dress stay with their publisher and are never republished through this site.
Published monster packages must name their source basis at the record level, and each source family keeps its own provenance category rather than being merged into a vague bucket. Nothing reaches the public library without passing that review.
You should still own and use the books on your shelf. The source-book filtering in the desktop app exists so the generator stays inside the library you actually have.
The data itself
The whole library is one JSON file: monsters, stats, provenance, and asset URLs. If you want to build something on top of it, start here rather than scraping the page.
