Engulf (Binding ST 24)No attack roll is necessary; the quarry may defend only by dodging and retreating. Moving through an SM+2 or smaller creature is an automatic slam. A victim who fails to dodge is pinned if smaller than the pudding, or grappled if equal or larger. Breaking free is a Quick Contest of ST (only every 10 seconds if pinned; on a 17 or 18 the victim cannot escape unaided); the pudding has +10 ST when pinning and +5 when grappling. Engulfed victims cannot breathe and begin to suffocate when out of breath. It can pin or grapple one foe at a time; others are pushed along in front of it unless they win a Quick Contest of ST. • Issue #5: the automatic engulf (Binding 24, constriction at effective ST 24) and the always-on corrosion aura were added from the source's stated mechanics.
• CER recomputed from the reviewed Typical Stats through the canonical Dungeons on Automatic CER path: OR 44, PR 88, CER 132, threat tier severe.
• Conversion baseline reported OR -3, PR 88, CER 85 (tier major). The reviewed values come from the consumer CER implementation, which rounds damage once after the damage-type multiplier and credits ranged accuracy; the conversion baseline ceilinged the damage base first and ignored range.
